FAQ
Common Questions
What is an MSO licence, and how does it differ from a bank?
A Money Service Operator (MSO) is a regulated category under Hong Kong's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance, licensed by the Customs and Excise Department. Unlike banks, MSOs specialise in cross-border remittance and foreign exchange under a dedicated regulatory framework purpose-built for these services. Pan-Asia Payment holds MSO Licence No. 19-12-02940.
How are client funds safeguarded?
Client funds flow through compliant channels at licensed banks or regulated payment institutions, maintained with clear separation from operating flows in line with our internal compliance policy. Transactions are subject to our AML/CFT monitoring programme, adhering to FATF international standards and Hong Kong's AMLO.
Who is eligible to use Pan-Asia Payment's services?
We serve corporate clients — including cross-border e-commerce operators, import/export trading companies, digital service platforms, HR and payroll providers. All clients are required to complete our standard KYC/KYB onboarding process in accordance with regulatory requirements.
How long does a cross-border transfer typically take to arrive?
Settlement timelines vary depending on the destination country, currency, and local clearing rails. For major corridors, transfers may arrive as fast as T+0. Less common routes or currencies may require additional processing time. Our team will confirm the expected settlement window for your specific transaction at the time of enquiry.
